Toyo's Initiatives

Observing laws and rules concerning safety and health, we are promoting worker-friendly workplace by preventing accident and disaster so that employees work in safe working environment and fully demonstrate their abilities in healthy conditions both physically and mentally.

"Safety and Health Committee" is held for the purpose of continuously keepig and further improving the excellent workplace environment. We will positively make efforts to engage in this project because health is always important issue for all employees as well as their families, and it is indispensable factor for company's development.

Basic Policy on Industrial Safety and Health

As a specialist trading company, engaging in business activities focused on global challenges, the safety of our employees across the world is our top priority. We also understand the importance of disaster prevention and industrial safety and health.

  1. Positively working on health promotion, taking employee's health as one of important management resources.
  2. Allowing our project team to make every effort to reduce working hours considering employee's work-life balance.
  3. Encouraging all employees to receive physical examinations periodically in order to keep good health state for making full use of capacities. We consider it the first priority to treat physical disorder, if any, discovered through the examination.
  4. Encouraging the employee who smokes to quit smoking because of detrimental effect not only on the smoker but also the people around him/her.
  5. Taking necessary measure against large-scale disasters liable to occur in Japan such as earthquake by formulating BCP manual, maintaining facilities such as toilet for emergency, stock pile such as drinking water and emergency provisions, and holding such training programs as disaster prevention drill and response to the safety confirmation system.
  6. Introducing drive recorder systems into company vehicles to eradicate traffic accident, and promote traffic safety education for employees so that consciousness of safe driving is improved.
  7. Prioritizing safety of employees who work abroad over the cost incurred for pursuit of safety, and making efforts to organize the system for backing up our employees against disease, infectious disease, epidemic like avian influenza, riot, terrorism, drastic social change, etc.

Addressing issue on long working hours:

"Working-hour improvement project" has started to arouse attention of the employees about long working hours as well as improvement in work efficiency.

Providing AED

All locations are provided with AEDs for employees, visitors, and neighborhood in emergency. Prior to introduction, we held sessions for AED users for appropriate treatment with AED.

Promotion of Work-Life Balance

"Refresh Wednesday" (No Overtime Day)

Employees are encouraged to leave office at the stated time every week on "Refresh Wednesday" to recharge.

Birthday Leave Program

Every employee is allowed to acquire "Birthday Holiday" in his/her birth month.

Non-Smoking Day
Toyo has designated the 22nd of each month as "Non-Smoking Day". We would like to ask for your cooperation when visiting to our office on such days.

Toyo has acquired "DBJ Health Management Rating" (DBJ Health Rating) from the Development Bank of Japan, Inc. (DBJ) in October, 2015.
